The control switch shown here is used to issue commands in rail vehicles. It can be divided into three main components.
1. Drive/Brake Switch
Setpoint adjustment in the traction or braking range with an integrated deadman's switch activated by pressing down on the handle.
2. Preselection switch
Selecting the operating mode: „R,“ „0,“ „*,“ „V,“ „N.“.
3. Key Switch
Enabling the drive switch. Operating states: Positions „0“ and „1“.
