The GESSbot autonomous mobile robot handles routine transport tasks during normal hospital operations. This helps relieve the workload on your staff and frees up more time for patient care.

Hospitals are under increasing pressure: a shortage of skilled workers, rising demands on patient care, and limited staffing resources characterize the day-to-day operations of many facilities. At the same time, recurring transport tasks—such as those involving medications, supplies, or laundry—take up valuable work time every day. The GESSbot automates these transport tasks and helps hospitals streamline their internal logistics and supply processes.

At the SLK Klinikum Heilbronn, the GESSbot is already independently handling transport tasks between the central pharmacy and the oncology department.

In this process, the autonomous mobile robot moves

Safely through public hospital areas
among patients, visitors, and staff
spanning several floors
with standard passenger elevators
within the existing infrastructure

Staying Safe in Public Hospital Areas

The GESSbot continuously monitors its surroundings and adjusts its movement to account for people, obstacles, and the current traffic conditions. When necessary, it reduces its speed or comes to a safe stop.
